Fitness and physical activities have always been a part of Monica's life. In her senior year of high school, Monica suffered lower back trauma in a car accident. After years of chronic issues, Monica turned to her personal trainer, Walt Nesbit, and also a yoga class at the gym she was attending. With a desire to learn more about this beautiful practice, Monica arrived at Donna Dyer's Yoga H'om. It was there, that the 'yoga' she had been practicing transformed from being just a physical exercise, into a complete mind, body healing, and life-changing experience. Knowing how greatly yoga affected her life, Monica knew in her heart that she had to share this practice with others and enrolled in Donna's 200-hour teacher training program in 2011. The desire to learn and share yoga takes Monica to many places. In 2015, Monica tried her first Aerial Yoga class at a Wanderlust Festival. At that moment, she found her love for FLIGHT and FREEDOM which also relieved her of lower back pain. In July of 2016, Monica became a certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, through Jayne Bernasconi, from Yoga on York. Monica is also a TRX Suspension Trainer which expands her knowledge of teaching suspension for strength and balance. Monica's intention is to uplift and send you on your way to a better day. She will continue to grow and expand her knowledge by studying under her master teachers, Gina Caputo, Rodney Yee, Richard Freeman, Max Strom, Kino MacGregor, and Jason Crandell.

The science of physical movement in her veins. Rhonda graduated from Frostburg State University with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. She's always looking for something new and exciting in the fitness world. The first thing Rhonda said to her husband after coming home from her first aerial yoga class was, “This is my new favorite thing ever!” And it was from that day that her passion and curiosity for everything aerial kept growing. Rhonda loves aerial yoga because of all the elements it encompasses—focus and play, trust and flight, strength, and grace. Rhonda completed her Aerial Yoga teacher training at Jayne Bernasconi’s Yoga on York, and it’s with this certification, along with her years of experience in teaching group fitness, that she hopes to be each student’s biggest cheerleader. Rhonda is a big advocate for celebrating having the courage to try. It’s that very courage that brought aerial yoga into Rhonda’s life, and it’s what she hopes to instill in everyone that walks through the door. Her own aerial yoga practice is ever-evolving, and you’ll likely see her attending her fellow teacher’s classes as an eager student. When Rhonda is not playing in her hammock, you can likely find her on a long walk or adoring her pets.

Amber began practicing yoga after graduating from college in an effort to diversify her fitness routine. It immediately became clear that the benefits of yoga went far beyond physical fitness. Maintaining a regular practice helped her to manage stress and anxiety, improve focus, and sleep more soundly. Amber also realized that she could modify her yoga practice as needed and make it fit her needs on any given day. Throughout pregnancy, new motherhood, travel, stressful days, and days when she had unlimited energy – yoga could support her. She decided that she wanted to help others realize the same thing.
In 2019 she completed her 200-hour certification at Yoga H’om with a goal of sharing the benefits of yoga with as many people as possible. Amber’s mission is to help others learn what the body and mind are capable of when they work together. When she isn’t practicing yoga you’ll find her baking with her 2 sons, reading a book on her back deck, or daydreaming about the beach.

Growing up a gymnast and dancer, Cara has always found comfort in the power of movement. It wasn’t until 2006, during a difficult time in college that she entered her first yoga class at BYS (formerly Breathe Yoga Studio). She took the next twelve years to build her practice and explore different styles of yoga – power vinyasa, Bikram, Hatha, yin, restorative, and chakra dance among them. After experiencing firsthand how yoga helped ease her depression, anxiety, and chronic stress, she felt compelled to share this practice with others.
Over the course of 2018-2019, she completed a life-changing 200-hour teacher training with Karen and Sean Conley of Amazing Yoga. She has also taken workshops & masterclasses with Raghunath (Bhakti Yoga), Maria Farfan (Thai Yoga Bodywork), Brooke Smokelin (Chakra Yoga Healing), Elizabeth Haberer (THRIVE Trauma-Informed Yoga), along with many others. She enjoys learning and can’t wait to continue her education in this vast field.
Off the mat, you can find Cara crafting, traveling, or simply curled up at home with a good book, her husband Matt, and their two kitties Dr. Richard Kimble and Marceline the Vampire Queen.

Everyone is different, anyone who allows yoga into their lives will have different experiences, yet all are a story of inner growth. For me, yoga started as a way to exercise, quickly I noticed how good I felt after doing an asana practice. As time flowed along, my amount of practice flowed in and out with it but ultimately expanding through each year, eventually into daily dedicated practice. Kriya Yoga, a powerful pranayama mediation has also become a daily ritual for me. After two years, I had made a correlation that the more I practiced yoga, the better I felt! My relationship with anxiety changed, as to the experience with the 'ups and downs' of life. I am able to observe my thoughts and find clarity and peace more often. Yoga has helped me find a sort of peace and understanding to these big questions. The more I studied yoga, the more these questions were addressed, and the answer was always to look from within.

Mary has been practicing yoga as a form of stress management for over 20 years. However, it has been in the last 10 years that a dedicated regular practice was established. Travel for work gave Mary the opportunity to experience several different styles and studios in various cities. There were many excellent instructors who have served as inspiration; however, it was at Donna Dyer's Yoga H'om that she realized yoga was more of a lifestyle choice rather than an exercise routine. In 2014 she decided to retire from the corporate world and make yoga a priority in her life. In 2015 she completed the 200-hour teacher training certification. The intention was not to look for a retirement job, but rather to share the love of yoga and its excellent healing properties with others. Mary's goal is to guide others on their path of spiritual and physical healing through yoga.

Yoga has been a part of Lisa’s life for over 20 years, and her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible, and fearless, both on and off the mat. Lisa completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance training with Sangha Wellness Center and is currently completing 300-hour advanced training with Healthy Body, Peaceful Soul. Lisa will always be a student of the practice and is a life-long learner. Lisa’s mantra on yoga is best described by the following quote: "Practicing yoga is a privilege. And with this privilege comes a duty to be kind, to share a smile, and to offer the yoga from your mat into the rest of your life." by Maty Ezraty. When she is not teaching, Lisa is working as a neonatal nurse practitioner for many Children’s hospitals in the Tristate area. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time outdoors in the sunshine with her two dogs Jade and Duce, drinking coffee, traveling, dancing, and practicing meditation.
