INTRO TO YOGA

5 Week Intro to Yoga at Elevated Yoga Pittsburgh perfect for yoga class for beginners and if you're looking for a gentle slow yoga class to get the basics of yoga and feel more comfortable taking other classes.

New beginners or anyone with little yoga experience will learn the fundamentals of Hatha Yoga. Providing students with the guidance they need to develop a safe and beneficial yoga practice. 

In this Intro to Yoga series, students will receive individual attention while learning basic yoga postures, yogic breathing, and relaxation techniques. Students will also be introduced to yoga philosophy and meditation. You will learn how to move safely into and out of poses, as well as how to modify the poses for your body. Gain a basic understanding of the language of the practice and - most importantly - you will learn to control your actions and to steady your body, your breath, and your mind. This 5  Week  Consecutive Series is perfect for people who like to learn with the same teacher in a small group. Please arrive early to start each class promptly and to discuss existing conditions with your teacher.

INTRO TO AERIAL YOGA SUNDAY AFTERNOON

4 Week Intro to Aerial Yoga at Elevate Yoga Pittsburgh is a great place to start your aerial yoga practice to get comfortable taking regular weekly classes.

 Great place to start for first-time flyers! This 4 Week Consecutive  Intro to Aerial Yoga series incorporates a soft hammock to explore, refine, and advance traditional asana yoga, both in the air and on the ground. This class will offer students the opportunity to learn the basics so that they can feel more comfortable when attending all level classes.  Come fly, play and laugh in the air!

NEW YEARS CANDLELIGHT YOGA CELEBRATION

Time to resolve to evolve, renew and invite the best things into 2020 and a new century ahead! Come to our annual New Year's Candlelight Yoga Celebration.

This Slow Flow Yoga class lead by Monica Kessler, will help you purify and unbind your mind, letting go of what no longer serves you and create the best intentions for the New Year. During this practice, we will release negativity via the purge via ritual and manifest peaceful positive well-being through releasing paper lanterns outside after class. If you joined us last year you know how truly special this night is, don't miss out, space is limited.

Weather permitting after practice we will release Chinese paper lanterns or balloons.

 Sonic Meditation Mat Restoratives: Meditate while you relax, supported by blankets and bolsters on your mat while the healing sounds surround you. 


A sonic meditation is a visceral, shamanic like sound journey designed for the modern world.   The intention is to target the energy centers within your body to help facilitate a space for self-exploration, deep relaxation, and a deep self-connection.   Each workshop is guided by Jen Stratakis, E-RYT 500, which will include breath-work, guided relaxation, and features Frequency-Minded music of Listening to Smile.  Listening to Smile creates Frequency-minded music monthly in the theme of the current astrological energy.  


Please bring a yoga mat.  Dress in comfortable yoga clothes, layers to stay warm and wear socks.  The studio is fully equipped with bolsters and blanks.  However, please feel free to bring anything you need to feel extra comfortable during meditation such as pillows, extra blankets, eye pillow.  


Space is limited.  Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable.  If you cannot attend the event please contact the studio within 72 hours of the event so we can open a space for additional students.
